Its a new day and I am cramming for an exam I have in 5 hours. But of course, last night, I stayed up till probably close to 2:30-3:00, not because I was doing anything in particular, just that I could, since my class isn't till 3:00. Almost, like a sad little game I play, to convince myself that I'm not a child, and nursing school doesn't rule my life, and I can go to bed at whatever hour I choose. But now I reap the consequences, but the stress drives me. A bad habit, I know.
So, I was sitting here thinking about whether I should grab a cup of coffee to stimulate me to stay awake. Then I remembered when Chris came to visit, he said that a cup of orange juice will give you the same amount of energy as a cup of coffee will. I'm not normally a coffee drinker so even a few sips and I'm good for the entire day. But, for the sake of just making little steps to be healthier I decided to see if I could find anything on this theory. I couldn't...I didn't search long, I'm supposed to be studying about increased ICP, strokes, headaches...but! I did find this cool article about tea vs coffee. I know some of you would say both are disgusting and I should've just went to bed early. Well, this is my routine. The article pulled up a lot of good points and I actually like tea, I don't know if there was any actual medical research that went behind it, but it was interesting.
