This kind of love...

So, today I got pulled to the CCU (coronary care unit), the nurses up there are so caring. Their patient load isn't as heavy as a regular floor, due to the high acuity. But, because of only two patients, they are able to provide great care. They don't mind doing the dirty work or doing vitals, they don't just leave it to the aids. And, they don't do it half way and they don't just brush it off till the next shift, if it needed to be done it was done. I was very inspired today.

Then I went to this concert at church. And, the guy talked about a man, who's wife had alzheimers and how she was in the late stage and he still took care of her, washed her and everything. Then one day he had an accident, that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Which meant months in the hospital, so his wife had to be transferred out to a nursing home. When the man recovered he requested to be sent to this wife's nursing home to be her suite mate. And, even with his disability, he still feeds her and talks to her, when she wakes up from a nap, he always says hello.
